Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

At SLIET Antriksha Vigyan Society (SAVS), accessible from slietantriksha.ac.in, we respect the privacy of our visitors and club members. This Privacy Policy document describes the types of information we collect and record, and how we utilize it.

2. Information We Collect

SAVS is a student-run academic society. We collect information through voluntary submissions on Google Forms (used for recruiting club members and registering event attendees) and basic web server analytics:

• Registration Details: When you register for events or apply to join the club, we collect your name, registration number (student ID), branch/year, email address, phone number, and domain preferences.
• Technical Logs: Our hosting servers (Vercel & Apache) log basic data such as IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamp to monitor page performance and secure the website.

3. How We Use Your Information

The personal data collected is processed solely for academic and organizational activities of the society:

• Reviewing candidate applications for SAVS student wings.
• Sending event invitations, schedule updates (such as meteor watch reminders), and event credentials.
• Evaluating workshop feedback and checking system metrics to make our website more responsive.

4. Storage and Theme Preferences

We do not use advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies. Minimal browser local storage variables are used solely to preserve your visual theme preference (Light Mode or Dark Mode).

5. Third-Party Integrations

We link to Google Forms for student submissions and external domains such as Instagram and Faculty Publications portals. This Privacy Policy applies only to our website. We recommend checking the privacy disclosures of any external link you follow.
